A group of 14 kids and their parents joined us on Saturday, January 26th for Candle Making!  Our Founder, Roma Boswell, taught a study on Matthew 5:14-16 which states, “You are the light of the world.  A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”  The children discussed ways they can shine the light in their own environments; in school, at home, among their friends, at sports practice.

While one group studied the bible with Ms. Roma, the other group made candles from melted wax using colors and a variety of scents.  The kids used their creativity to create various sizes of candles and got to take them home to share with their families.

Finally, we shared a vast array of snacks including marshmallow “torches” held on by yummy pretzel rods!  All in all, we enjoyed the afternoon with each other’s families and we look forward to another event at WITs End really soon.  Stay tuned!
